I recovered.
I took some time off from running. (Work and family stuff has kept me busy over the past little while.)
Celebrated my Dad’s 65th Birthday in Cape Breton with a big feast at my Aunt and Uncle’s place in Boularderie.
I sure did!
I am running a 10k on Canada Day. The Epic Canadian is a local race I have yet to run, but I am familiar with the route. Some of my local Twitter peeps will be there and I heard there is cake and sno cones afterwards.
I will run anywhere for food, lol.

Yes. I am considering these in my future.
But I need to do some things before I take on a swim/bike/run combo.
I need to learn to swim again. I can swim to save my life, but for technique and form, I need to take lessons.
Also, extra gear will be required:Â a road bike, shoes, swimsuit/cap/goggles, etc.

I was very lucky to have a long weekend. While most folks go camping, or travel to see family, I spent it at home. My man and I went out for an awesome walk around Lake Banook (part of the course for Epic Canadian). It was a gorgeous night. We finally hit summer here in Halifax. Hot temps were on the menu and I tried to make the most of it!
My daughter was on a sleepover extravaganza most of the weekend with it being the end of the school year. We took an evening and spent it out at Peggy’s Cove. Funny how we forget all the beautiful places around us.Â
32oz of beer….in a glass boot that I was able to take home with me! I also had poutine….because it’s the Canadian thing to do 😉
